"Once Jesus put me on the right road to recovery, he had to change my thinking. I struggle with drug addiction and other issues. Someone once told me that I would not be able to reach my goal, and in tears, I asked why? The simple answer was, “Because of your upbringing”. When I lost my job I hit a bottom and decided that I needed to know what these destructive behaviors were and how to fix them. No one could tell me. The Genesis Process has provided a safe environment to take a deep look within myself. Through biblical principals I have been lead through a process of identifying my destructive behaviors, finding their origin, and how to use God’s truth to overcome them. I can’t do recovery alone and I need people in my life to speak God’s truth in love. The Genesis Process has provided me with the knowledge and support to begin and continue my journey to recovery. The Genesis Process has not only helped me identify my problems but also revealed to me the causes of them and the underlying issues driving me to do the very things I don't want to do. I have learned so much about myself and the way that my brain works and that learning process has helped me to grow and move forward with my life like I could never do on my own.

I just want to say that the Genesis program has helped me so far to be able to recognize some of the unhealthy and harmful patterns in my life. I'm learning to take responsibility for myself and to gain some tools in order to change areas of my life that I want to change and the Genesis program is helping me to do that. I am looking forward to part two!
